@Michiganborn1969 Yeah you’ll have nothing to worry about. It isn’t a chemical like other products.

Oh and for what’s worth, this 25 year old Yamaha has only 19k miles on it, It’s more age then milage. As far as smog test goes. Motorcycles so far are excempt from testing here in California (for now) Shhhhhh. Don’t tell the lawmakers in Sacramento… They’re looking for money lol.

Cool! I was thinking of using it on my 85 Yamaha Maxim 700. She’s really cold blooded when it first gets started but will smooth out after about 5 miles or so. After $400 for carb work its still not 100% yet.

@ProjectCarTV What I do to avoid the carbon from the pistons ending up in the catalytic converter, is remove the catalytic converter until the sea foam is gone. I don’t mean that you should drive around without a cat – carbon monoxide is called the silent killer because it acts like oxygen to the blood and starves you as it replaces oxygen. I’m talking about removing the cat while the car is idling and smoking in your driveway. That way nothing gets built up before the screen/honeycomb catalyst.

@Michiganborn1969 Damage? It’s petroleum based so no “damage” will occur. However, you shouldn’t go do your emissions testing with SeaFoam in the tank – more than likely you’ll fail. Additives can raise the numbers.
As far as SeaFoam – I do the whole gammit on a high mileage engine – add it in the intake intake, fuel, oil. Keep in mind that when added to oil and the intake manifold and fuel, it’s going to start breaking up the carbon on your pistons.

So Sea Foam won’t damage emission systems?

@CD5CHAMP7 Seafoam is an entirely different story it’s a100% pure petroleum product and is excellent for cleaning engine componants, removing moisture from fuel, freeing up stuck valves, removing carbon from pistons, and cleaning fuel injectors. It’s an excellent product and one of the few that doesn’t come with a gimmick. I also like Marvel Mystery Oil.

what do you think of sea foam, i used it in my car and it actually felt a little smoother
